Many people know that in Indonesia, Mountain Tambora (in Sumbawa Island) which exploded in 1815 is categorized as the biggest explosion in the world( its explosion's scale is 7- from 1 to 8). It caused there was no winter in Europe in 1816 and tens of thousand people was died because of tsunami which happened after the explosion, famine, and diseases.

But this assumption has just been broken. It because some researcher found some ruins of explosion in North and South Pole. In the beginning, they didn't know where did it come from. But after some archeologist tried to research them, they found that it came from the explosion about 1250's. Comparing with some mountains which exploded at that time, they decided that the ruins came from Mountain Samalas explosion.

Mountain Samalas was located in Lombok Island.
Mountain Samalas exploded at about May to October 1257. Its explosion is eight times bigger than Krakatau and two times bigger than Tambora . As added information, the Krakatau explosion is thirteen thousand times bigger than power of atom bomb. According to some small stones and dust that were found at North and South Pole, some researcher predicted that the mountain has exploded more than forty thousand kilometer cubic of stones and dust. They expected too that the material exploded with its height up to 40 kilometer. This explosion had caused some big effects.
The effects:
1. A significant changing of climate
Along winter in 1528, weather is so cool and there was rain. Because the rain never stopped raining,
there was a flood too. Beside of that, it cause failure of crops.
2. A big death
This explosion has caused thousand of local people around the mountain was died.
Many archeologists have same opinion that this explosion has caused thousand people were died in
London.
3. Making of a lake
After the eruption, Mountain Samalas broke down and it made Segara Anak Caldera.
The evidence of the eruption of Mountain Samalas actually had been written at Babad Lombok, one of folk culture in Lombok. It wrote that there was a big eruption that caused making of a caldera and thousand of people died because of the dust. It caused too the break of Pamatan, the capital city of the local kingdom there(the same accident that happened like at Pompeii and Stabiae, Italy).
From the article above, we know that Indonesia cannot be separated with the big eruption around the world from ancient until now. And we have to know that Indonesia is included in Ring of Fire. It means that we as young generation have to be more ready to prepare an eruption that may happen. So the died effect don't attack us anymore. Beside of that, we have to give more appreciate to some folk culture (especially for the scripture). Because from that, we can get more new things that we never know we will get the one.
